Marcus Leiwe has a diverse work experience in various scientific, academic, and research roles. Marcus most recently worked as a Technical Project Manager at MetaCell, where they coordinated with clients and internal teams to achieve project deliverables within resource budgets. Prior to that, Marcus served as an Assistant Professor at Kyushu University, where they secured significant funding for research projects, provided technical input for strategic decisions, and presented findings at international conferences. Marcus also played a crucial role in an observational study team and developed a patent-pending clustering algorithm for scientific insights. Marcus has also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge, a Data Science Fellow at Science to Data Science (S2DS), a Post-doctoral Researcher at RIKEN, and a Post-doctoral Researcher at the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, King's College London. Marcus began their career as a PhD student and later worked as a Research Assistant at King's College London.
Marcus Leiwe obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Neuroscience from King's College London, completing their studies from 2004 to 2007. Marcus then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental Neurobiology at the same institution, graduating in 2013. In addition to their formal education, Marcus has obtained several certifications. In March 2022, they completed the S2DS (Science to Data Science) program offered by Pivigo Limited. Marcus also obtained the certification of Data Science Fellow (S2DS) from Science to Data Science (S2DS) in the same month. In March 2023, Marcus became a Data Scientist Associate by completing the program offered by DataCamp.
