Ronald Evans

Dr. Evans, one of the co-founders, has served as a member of the board of directors since September 2014. He is a professor, director and biologist at The Salk Institute, where he serves as the March of Dimes Chair in Molecular and Developmental Neurobiology. Dr. Evans became a faculty member of The Salk Institute in 1978. He also serves as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, a position he has held since 1985. Dr. Evans was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1989. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UCLA in 1970 and 1974, respectively, followed by a postdoctoral training at Rockefeller University from 1975-1978.
