Carroll Wainwright

Carroll Wainwright's work experience starts with OpenAI, where they have been a Member of Technical Staff since September 2021. Prior to that, they co-founded Metaculus in September 2014 and served as the CTO until August 2021. They also worked as a Research Scientist at The Partnership on AI from February 2019 to February 2021. In addition, they have experience as a Data Scientist at Calliope Waterworks from June 2015 to March 2017, and as a Data Scientist/Software Engineer at Tuul from October 2014 to May 2015. Their earlier roles include being a Post-doctoral physicist at UC Santa Cruz from June 2013 to September 2014, a Graduate Research Assistant from September 2008 to June 2013, and a Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2008 to June 2013.

Carroll Wainwright obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Pomona College, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 2008 to 2013.
