Metamatics focuses on training financial executives in metacognition. Metacognition comprises both the ability to be aware of one's cognitive processes (metacognitive knowledge) and to regulate them (metacognitive control). This training enables individuals to recognize and regulate the state of their nervous system in real-time. The training process is based on somatic approaches that go beyond the cognitive dimension. They are based on neuroscientific research that shows the importance of addressing the older parts of the brain - the limbic system and brain stem.
