Joy Sigua has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to 2022. Joy started their career as an intern associate at STAPLES Canada and Future Shop (now operated by Best Buy) in 2013. Joy then worked as a customer service representative at McDonald's from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Best Service Pros as an accounts receivable administrator. In 2020, Joy worked as a bookkeeper at Vancouver's Life Community, a part-time remote role for a non-profit organization. From 2018 to 2022, they served as a junior accountant at Brown Bros Motor Lease Canada Ltd. Starting in 2022, Joy joined MetaOptima Technology Inc. as a staff accountant and is currently in this role.
Joy Sigua has a strong educational background in the field of accounting and business/management. Joy obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2019, with a focus on Accounting and Business/Management. Prior to their BBA, Joy completed a diploma program in Accounting with Distinction from the same institute from 2014 to 2016.
Joy's high school education was completed at H.J. Cambie Secondary from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a High School Diploma with recognition on the Principal Honour Roll.
In addition to their formal education, Joy has obtained additional certifications. Joy completed Lean Sensei Training at Best Service Pros in September 2016 and became a Team UNICEF Champion through Unicef Brasil in the same month and year.
