Ari Burstein began their legal career in 1995 as a Litigation Associate at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, L.L.P., where they handled complex commercial litigation including federal and state class actions. In 1999, they moved to Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP, where they represented high profile corporate U.S. and foreign clients in all aspects of complex securities and commercial litigation. In 2004, they joined the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission as Senior Counsel in the Division of Enforcement, where they led several high-profile investigations and enforcement proceedings. In 2008, they became General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Fore Research & Management, LP, where they were responsible for all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. In 2017, they joined Metaurus Advisors LLC as Partner, Managing Director, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer.

Ari Burstein attended Binghamton University from 1986 to 1990, graduating with a B.A. in Political Science. Ari then spent one year at the Jewish Theological Seminary studying Jewish Philosophy. From 1991 to 1994, they attended the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where they earned their JD in Law. In 1996, they obtained a New York State Bar certification.
