At METEC, we're here to help individuals and families become homeowners, permanent employment seekers and money savers. We got our start in 2001 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Peoria, IL helping parishioners and neighbors learn how to create budgets, reduce debt and make sound financial decisions, The need was great, so we soon formed a nonprofit organization to serve the broader community.

Today, METEC works with families across a seven-county area from our offices on West Krause Avenue in Peoria. Our services help community members find or keep a home, learn a new skill, improve their credit score, file their taxes, access legal support, and more. You can count on us to help connect you to the resources you need.
