Tim Childs

Tim Childs is currently a Resident Release Engineer at Methode Electronics, a position held since December 2023. Previously, Tim spent over two decades at Nexteer Automotive, where roles included Resident Systems Integration Engineer, Product Engineer focused on steering columns at the GM Tech Center, and Program Manager overseeing the BT1XX/BV1HX steering columns and I shafts from concept to production. Earlier experience includes serving as a Validation Engineer and Validation and Lab Ops Manager at General Motors from April 1998 to January 2000, working on GMX 160, 220, and 310 styled switches. Tim holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Saginaw Valley State University, earned between 1993 and 1997.
