Nethya Kumar started their career as a System Engineer at TCS in December 2011 and worked in that role until June 2016. nethya then joined Tata Consultancy Services Limited as an IT Analyst in December 2011 and continued working there until May 2020. In January 2015, they started working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as a Verification and Validation Engineer and stayed there until May 2020. Currently, they are employed as an Embedded Engineer at Methodica Technologies, starting in May 2020.

Nethya Kumar pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Avionics from Madras Institute of Technology Campus from 2009 to 2011.
