Jae Schmidt has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. They started their career as an Office Manager at ROSEN-HOFFBERG REHABILITATION AND PAIN MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES, P.A in 1993. From 1995 to 1998, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland Medical System. They then moved on to Emory University School of Medicine, where they held multiple roles including Business Manager, Office Manager & Residency Coordinator, Senior Business Manager, and Department Administrator from 1998 to 2013. At Emory, they significantly contributed to the growth and success of the Department of Neurosurgery & MBNA Stroke Center. In 2010, Jae Schmidt founded Houndstooth Road, LLC, a family-owned company specializing in classic European commuter/leisure bicycles and accessories. They successfully built the company from scratch and received recognition in various publications. In 2014, they joined Medical City Healthcare as the Vice President of Neurosciences, Orthopedics, and Rehabilitation Services before transitioning to the role of Director of Physician Practice Development. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Business Development at Methodist Health System since 2021. Overall, Jae Schmidt has demonstrated strong leadership, business development, and operational skills throughout their career.
Jae Schmidt completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Emory University - Goizueta Business School in 2004. Earlier, in 1995, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Goucher College. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Jae attended Mount Saint Joseph High School.
