Ryan Owens

Ryan Owens is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Assistant Vice President of Public Relations at Methodist Health System since April 2018, where responsibilities include leading earned media and crisis communication for a 12-hospital network in North Texas, as well as overseeing Shine Online, an acclaimed digital content hub. Prior to this role, Ryan accumulated significant experience at ABC News from August 2006 to October 2016, working as a correspondent and anchor, including extensive reporting for programs such as Good Morning America and World News Tonight, and covering major stories both domestically and internationally. Previous experience also includes positions at WHDH-TV and WLWT-TV, where Ryan reported on high-profile national and international events. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Political Science from Northwestern University, earned between 1991 and 1995.
