Stephen Maffei has extensive experience in organizational effectiveness and patient experience. Stephen has held leadership roles at Methodist Health System, serving as Vice President and AVP of Organizational Effectiveness and Patient Experience. Prior to that, they worked as the Organizational Effectiveness Director at the same company. Before joining Methodist Health System, Stephen worked as a Senior OD Consultant at Baylor Health Care System. Stephen also has experience as a Senior Organizational Effectiveness Strategist at Methodist Health System and as an Organizational Effectiveness Consultant/Strategist at Integrated Elements Inc. Earlier in their career, Stephen held various leadership positions at Volvo Car Finance North America. Overall, Stephen has a strong background in leadership development, customer satisfaction, performance improvement, and employee engagement.

Stephen Maffei holds a current Ph.D. candidate status in Human Resource Development with a specialization in OD and Change from the University of Texas at Tyler, which they have been pursuing since 2011. Stephen earned an MBA from Iona University between 1990 and 1995. Prior to that, they obtained an MS in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University from 1987 to 1990. Stephen completed their undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, where they obtained a BA in Economics from 1980 to 1984. Stephen also holds a high school diploma in College Prep from Bergen Catholic H.S. As for additional certifications, they are a certified patient experience professional (CPXP) from the Patient Experience Institute (PXI).
