Metinvest Adria S.p.A. has as its industrial and entrepreneurial mission the development of a state-of-the-art steelmaking facility in Piombino, aimed at generating lasting value for Italy and the broader European industrial ecosystem through the development of high-quality steel with minimal environmental impact.

The company was established as a joint venture between two major industrial groups: Metinvest, an international leader in the mining and metals sector, and Danieli, one of the world’s leading builders of modern and environmentally advanced steel plants.

The project includes the development of a broad and diversified range of flat steel grades serving key industrial sectors - from automotive and mechanical engineering to structural applications and pipe and pressure-vessel manufacturing - including high-strength grades for re-rolling, forming, and further industrial uses.

Rooted in the industrial context of Piombino, Metinvest Adria promotes skills development and the enhancement of human capital, building on the area’s steelmaking heritage while supporting the sustainable transition of the sector.
