The Métis Thinkers Network is a national, grassroots collective of Métis scholars, students, knowledge holders, and community members working to strengthen Métis-led research and scholarship.

One of the central challenges facing Métis scholars, students, and knowledge holders is a pervasive sense of invisibility, both within academic institutions and across our Métis homeland. Despite the presence of vibrant Métis intellectual and creative work, we often remain disconnected from one another, scattered across disciplines, institutions, and geographic regions. This fragmentation limits our ability to build collective momentum, share resources, and engage in reciprocal mentorship and collaboration.
To address the persistent challenge of invisibility and disconnection among Métis thinkers, we developed a dedicated website as the central digital infrastructure for the Métis Thinkers Network. This platform serves as a dynamic and relational space where Métis individuals across disciplines, institutions, and regions can find one another, share their work, and build meaningful connections.

By showcasing Métis-led research, theory, and community knowledge, the Metis Thinkers Network affirms Métis scholarship as a distinct and self-determined canon, one rooted in relational accountability, resistance to colonial erasure, and culturally specific methodologies.
