Rob Russell

Rob Russell is a Professor at Heidelberg University, specializing in computational biology. With extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, Rob has worked as a CSO at Metisox - Cell Networks since 2010, developing network-based software and databases for predictive toxicology. Rob's previous roles include Vice Dean for Research and Co-Director of BioQuant at Heidelberg University, and Group Leader at EMBL, where they led a Structural Bioinformatics Group. Rob holds a B.Sc (hons) in Chemistry from Queen's University and a D.Phil in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford. As an expert in software and database development, Rob is currently seeking consulting and advisory opportunities in small-to-medium sized biotechnology companies in Europe and the U.S.
