Peter Johnston

Peter Johnston is an experienced language professional with a background in interpretation and translation. Currently serving as a Spanish Interpreter for the New York State Unified Court System since October 2016, Peter provides live simultaneous interpretation services at New York City Housing Court. Peter also works as an Analytic Linguist for Metlang, translating communications for a contractor with the US Justice Department. Additionally, Peter tutors school-age children in various subjects and performs Spanish-English document translation at The Bronx Institute at Lehman College. With a role as an interpreter for World Service USA since 2012, Peter aids Spanish-speaking clients in medical and legal settings. Previous experience includes working as an Art Handler at Sotheby's and serving in the United States Marine Corps from 2004 to 2010. Peter holds a BA in English from Brigham Young University, earned in 2011.
