Daniel Thomas

Daniel Thomas is a seasoned urban planner with extensive experience in transportation planning and project management. Currently serving as Principal Planner at Metra Commuter Rail since June 2016, Daniel develops the company's strategic plan and represents Metra in various planning projects. Previous roles include Principal Transportation Planner for DuPage County Division of Transportation, where oversight of transit and active transportation plans was key, and Transportation Planner at the Chicago Transit Authority, focusing on data analysis for major transportation studies. Daniel's earlier work includes positions at Jacobs, Access Living, and the U.S. Peace Corps, complemented by a master's degree in urban planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Bradley University.
