John Shaw

John Shaw has extensive experience in facility management and organizational leadership, currently serving as General Manager of Corporate Facilities at Metra Commuter Rail since June 2008. Prior roles at Metra include General Manager of Building Operations and Administrative Services, as well as Building Manager overseeing a high-rise office building in downtown Chicago. John Shaw's earlier experience includes serving as a Board Trustee for the Village of Lake Zurich, Director for the Lake Zurich Lions Club, and Commissioner for the Lake Zurich Zoning Board of Appeals. Additionally, John held leadership positions at Ela Area Public Library District and Simon Property Group, where responsibilities encompassed managing operations across multiple shopping centers. John Shaw's career began at GE Capital, managing a corporate headquarters and regional facilities. Educational background includes studies at Harper College following graduation from William Fremd High School.
