Lakeiah Johnson

Lakeiah Johnson is a Sr. Telecommunications Engineer at Metra Commuter Rail since July 2016, responsible for providing design requirements and specifications for telecommunications equipment, as well as managing in-house engineering projects and representing Metra in Turn-Key projects. Prior roles at Metra include Telecommunications Engineer 2 and Communication Maintainer, involving the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of various communication systems. Before joining Metra, Lakeiah worked as a Quality Technician II at Grayhill, conducting performance tests on systems and subassemblies, and served as an IT help desk intern at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Lakeiah holds a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from Grambling State University.
