Romayne C. Brown

Romayne C. Brown is the current Chair at Metra. Romayne previously served as the Vice President of Rail Operations for the Chicago Transit Authority from July 1978 to February 2010. In this role, they were responsible for managing and supervising a $1.3 million budget, developing and administering policies and programs related to rail transit service, and evaluating and monitoring the performance of rail operations staff personnel. Romayne also served as the Vice President of the Chicago Transit Authority from July 1978 to February 2010, where they were responsible for developing policies and procedures for collective bargaining negotiations, maintaining effective working relationships with various labor unions, governmental entities, transportation officials, and CTA personnel, and attending various business and community meetings and public hearings related to mass transit.

Romayne C. Brown has a certification from the Incident Command System in ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800. Romayne also has a certification from the Train the Trainer Program from the Federal Transit Administration in Alcohol and Drug Testing.
