Sofia Yassin

Sofia Yassin has a diverse work experience in various roles within different companies. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Archeologist Trainee for the National Park Service. Sofia then served as a GIS Coordinator and Assistant Excavation Leader at Umeå University in 2000 and later returned to the university in 2001 as a GIS Coordinator and Laboratory Assistant. In 2002, they became an Archeologist with IT expertise (GIS Coordinator) at Riksantikvarieämbetet, where they were involved in GIS and measurement coordination for the Europaväg 22-Skånedelen project. Sofia also conducted 3D modeling, GIS analysis, and map production for publications and work materials. From 2004 to 2007, Sofia worked as an Archeologist at Dalarnas Museum, followed by a role as a GIS Analyst, EU Grants Officer, and Data Registrar at Länsstyrelsen Skåne from 2005 to 2006. Sofia then joined MMT as a GIS and Maps Responsible, overseeing the compilation of map and text reports for marine surveys. Starting in 2007, Sofia worked as a Map and GIS Coordinator at Lomma kommun until 2013, where they managed the municipality's overview map and web-based map services. Sofia also developed FME scripts for secure handling of 2D and 3D data. Afterwards, they joined Umeå kommun as a Cart Engineer, responsible for maintaining and providing the municipality's primary map and local road database. Sofia also served as a Geo Data Collaboration Coordinator. Sofia's most recent work experience is at Metria, where they have held various roles since 2017. These include being a Team Product Owner for Team Fast, a Support Technician, and a Scrum Master for Team LevelUP and Team 1, which eventually merged to become Team Green. Currently, Sofia is working as a Scrum Master for Team Unicorn and Team Peaks at Metria.
