David Beller

David Beller is a leader with 12 years of executive and managerial experience in program development, fundraising, financial management, evaluation, and human resources. With 20 years of focus on food policy, nutrition, food security, and organic agriculture, they have helped secure over 50 grants and contracts to support health and local food initiatives. Currently serving as a Senior Management Auditor at Metro, David assesses departmental performance and recommends improvements in areas such as homelessness and equity. Previously, as the Executive Director and Founder of Grow Portland, they led health and sustainability programming impacting over 15,000 individuals. David holds a BA in Environmental Studies with a focus on Sustainable Food Systems from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley.
