Lauren Everett, Ph.D, is a Senior Housing Communications Specialist at Metro, focusing on content strategy and storytelling for the housing department since November 2021. Previously, Lauren served as the Expo Communications Lead, overseeing the communications for the Expo Development Opportunity Study. As the owner of Croatoan Press and Production Company, Lauren directed and produced the documentary film "Mystic Chords of Memory." Lauren's academic background includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at Portland State University, where contributions included creating a newsletter on homelessness issues and co-authoring a significant report. Lauren's experience also encompasses administrative and community engagement roles in various organizations, alongside a decade-long career as a freelance photographer. Lauren holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Studies and has earned both a Master and Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and Radio, Television, and Film, respectively.
