Luis S.

Luis S. is a seasoned professional in solid waste planning, currently serving as the Principal Solid Waste Planner at Metro since June 2017. Prior to this role, Luis worked as a Staff Auditor at the Oregon Secretary of State Audits Division from July 2015 to June 2017 and was a Data Services Consultant/Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of Oregon Data Services Lab from September 2012 to June 2015. Additional experience includes an internship as a Management Audit Intern at the City of Portland and a position as a Research Assistant at the Center for Economic and Policy Research. Academically, Luis holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Environmental Policy and Research Methods from the University of Oregon, a Master of Science in Economics from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Macalester College, and an International Baccalaureate from the Red Cross Nordic United World College.
