Tom Kloster is a Regional Planning Manager at Metro, where Tom manages the long-range transportation planning program, overseeing special planning projects and a team of employees. With previous experience as a Senior Transportation Planner, Tom has been involved in various regional transportation initiatives, including the Region 2040 Growth Concept effort. In addition to their professional work, Tom is also a Board Member at Trailkeepers of Oregon, a non-profit dedicated to trail stewardship and conservation in the state. Prior to their role at Metro, Tom worked in long-range planning at the City of Gresham and Washington County. Tom holds a Master of Urban Planning from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences from Oregon State University.
