Peter Gries

Peter Gries is an experienced executive in the food service distribution sector, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Customer & Sales Officer at METRO AG since April 2022. Prior to this role, Gries held various leadership positions, including CEO at Makro Autoservicio Mayorista S.A España from October 2016 to September 2021, and COO at METRO Italia from March 2012 to September 2016, among other executive roles at Makro Cash & Carry Portugal and METRO Cash and Carry. Gries began his career at Plus Discount, where responsibilities included Managing Director and Regional Director.
