Alex Goldsmith has a diverse work experience in the field of video production and social media. They started their career in 2016 as the Head of Music at ForgeTV, where they oversaw the production of various shows and conducted interviews with local bands and touring artists. They also interviewed former deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg for Forge Talks. They then had a work placement at Reuters in 2017, producing and publishing multiple packages for the business desk and assisting in showbiz shoots. In 2018, they had a work placement at BBC London, where they pitched news stories, assisted reporters, and helped with package creation. They also briefly freelanced as a videographer and social media curator, creating and editing content for different clients. In the same year, they worked as a Logger at Hardcash Productions, formatting translations for subtitles and handling sensitive information. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at PinkNews as a Junior Producer and then as a Senior Producer. They managed multiple social platforms, self-shot interviews and news content, sourced contributors and original interview footage, and ensured compliance with editorial and brand safety guidelines. In 2021, they joined Evening Standard as a Senior Video Journalist. Currently, in 2023, they are working at Metro.co.uk as the Assistant Head of Social, and later became the Head of Social Video.

Alex Goldsmith completed their education at various institutions. In 2017-2018, they attended City, University of London, where they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Television Journalism. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2017, they studied at The University of Sheffield and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and Politics. Their education journey began at Woodhouse College from 2012 to 2014, where they focused on A Level subjects such as Politics, Law, History, English Literature (AS), and also achieved an EPQ Level 3 (A*). Lastly, from 2007 to 2012, they attended The Compton School, where they obtained 12 GCSEs with 6 A*s and 5 As.
