Simon Taylor is the Head of Tunnelling at Metroselskabet I/S, a position held since 2015. Taylor has extensive experience in tunnelling, having served as a Tunnel Group Manager for Cityringen, Copenhagen, and as a Construction Manager for Qatar Rail. Previous roles include Tunnel Supervision Manager on the Hallandsås Project and Senior Tunnel Engineer at Copenhagen Metro. Taylor began their career as a Senior Tunnel Engineer with the TML Channel Tunnel and progressed through various roles in tunnelling, including a Shift Tunnel Manager at Transfield-Bouygues JV. Taylor earned a B.Eng (Hons) in Mining Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines between 1984 and 1987.
