In The Copenhagen Metro and Greater Copenhagen Light Rail we are 350 employees who solve a task of great importance: To deliver world-class metro and light rail, now and for the next generations. We do this in close cooperation with contractors, operators, and advisers.
For us, it's about creating the greatest possible social value with the smallest possible climate footprint. It is a task that obliges.
Every week, more than 2 million passengers use the Copenhagen Metro, and the number is increasing day by day. Copenhagen currently has four metro lines. In 2024, we will open five new stations to Ny Ellebjerg (Copenhagen South), and we are planning a brand new fifth metro line to open in 2035. In addition, we are well underway with the construction of the capital's new light rail between Lyngby and Ishøj. The construction of both the current and future lines are projects of an international scale.
