Ash Bender

Ash Bender, MD, FRCPC, is an Occupational Psychiatrist specializing in workplace mental health and disability management. Ash has extensive experience, having served as a Staff Psychiatrist at The Scarborough Hospital and CAMH, providing community-based consultation and treatment for adults with mental health conditions. Currently, Ash works as an Occupational Psychiatrist with Metrolinx, while also holding positions as a Medical Consultant for RBC Insurance and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Additionally, Ash co-founded Workplace Insight Ltd. to educate employers on mental health issues at work and has advised the Ministry of Community & Correctional Services on psychiatric care for forensic populations. Ash's academic credentials include a B.Sc. in Biophysics and an M.D. from The University of Western Ontario, along with a Psychiatry residency from the University of Toronto.
