Dane Nelson

Dane Nelson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public service and policy management. Currently serving as the Director of Internal & External Affairs at Metrolinx since February 2024, Dane previously held key positions including Director of Policy & Delivery for the Ontario Government from July 2021 to February 2024, and various roles within the Ontario Treasury Board Secretariat, including Manager of Policy Alignment and Strategic Engagement from August 2019 to June 2022. With a strong foundation in financial analysis and economic policy, Dane began his career as a Fleet Administrator in the Ministry of Transportation before transitioning to business analysis and economic specialist roles across multiple Ontario ministries. Dane holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Toronto and has completed advanced programs in health leadership and business administration.
