Derek Basso

Derek Basso currently serves as the Manager of Commercial Management at Metrolinx, a position held since July 2020. Prior to Metrolinx, Derek Basso worked at CN from May 2012 to July 2020, where responsibilities included managing Transport Canada funded programs and overseeing various phases of planning, design, and construction activities. Derek Basso also held the role of Manager of Utilities for the Eastern Canada Region of Engineering at CN, executing and directing numerous construction projects and collaborating with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. Derek Basso holds a degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Seneca Polytechnic, earned between 2009 and 2012.
