Peter Olak

Peter Olak, MSc, P. Eng. has extensive experience in major infrastructure projects, focusing on transit systems in Ontario. Currently serving at Metrolinx in Major Infrastructure Delivery since February 2020, Peter is involved in the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension and previously held the position of Technical Director for the Yonge North Subway Extension. Prior roles at Metrolinx include Director and Senior Project Manager for the Hamilton Light Rail Transit project, part of a significant investment initiative by the Province of Ontario. Peter's career also encompasses project management and engineering roles at the City of Hamilton, MMM Group, and Oscar Faber, with work spanning from preliminary design and environmental assessments to major transit planning and infrastructure delivery. Peter holds a Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering and Operations from Newcastle University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Kingston University.
