Sameer Ali

Sameer Ali is an experienced construction specialist and facility maintenance leader at Metrolinx since October 2021. Prior to this role, Sameer served as a maintenance supervisor and operations supervisor at The TJX Companies, Inc. from July 2018 to November 2021, where responsibilities included leading a team of 30 to 50 associates to meet production and quality targets. From May 2015 to March 2018, Sameer was the operations manager at Ramco Industries Limited, overseeing the LPG Filling Plant's budget, production, maintenance, and installation departments. Earlier in the career, Sameer worked as chief mechanical engineer at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, managing a team in the design and approval of oil and gas infrastructure and contributing to the Compressed Natural Gas Implementation Unit. Sameer holds an MBA in Sustainable Energy Management, a Master's Diploma in Petroleum Engineering, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.
