Simon Strauss

Simon Strauss is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as the Manager of Environmental Programs and Assessment within the Capital Projects Group at Metrolinx since September 2018, focusing on the environmental planning of GO infrastructure projects. Prior roles include acting as Manager and Environmental Project Manager at Morrison Hershfield, where Simon completed a secondment to Metrolinx to manage environmental assessment projects for the GO Transit network. Earlier experience includes coordinating environmental assessments and renewable energy approvals at ARCADIS Canada Inc., contributing to sustainability programs at Golder Associates, and initially working as a medical writer at IC Axon. Simon holds a Master of Environment and Business from the University of Waterloo, along with an M.A. in Human Geography and a B.Sc. in Biology from McGill University.
