Yi Luo

Yi Luo, MA MSc, currently serves as the Network Program Sponsor for GO Expansion at Metrolinx since October 2022. Prior to this, Yi Luo held various roles at York Region from December 2012 to October 2022, including Manager of Growth Economics and Finance, where responsibilities involved providing strategic advice on growth impacts on municipal finances and leading significant legislative responses. Yi Luo also worked as a Senior Advisor, implementing financial forecasting models and advising on capital budgets. Earlier experience includes positions as Rob MacIsaac Innovation Fellow at Metrolinx and Senior Economist at the Ontario Ministry of Infrastructure, contributing to funding programs and strategic analyses. Yi Luo's educational background includes a Master of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto, a Master of Arts in Economics from Queen's University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toronto, with ongoing education at the CFA Institute.
