Yichen Wang

Yichen Wang is a data scientist currently employed at Metrolinx since March 2023. Previously, Yichen worked as a data analyst on an academic consulting project at Summit View Development Corp. during the summer of 2022, where significant improvements in data quality and algae output were achieved through advanced data techniques in Python and MySQL. Prior experience includes a data analyst position at Air Transat from October 2021 to May 2022, where Yichen utilized SQL in Google BigQuery to enhance data-driven decision-making and optimize advertising costs. Yichen’s early career includes a research internship at the Douglas Mental Health Institute, focusing on data management and the design of medical systems. Academic qualifications include a Master of Management in Analytics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from McGill University.
