Derek Ikehara is a seasoned military analyst with extensive experience in project management and operations within various defense-related roles. Currently serving as a Senior Military Analyst at Metron, Inc. since October 2021, Derek previously held positions as the ONR Global Science Advisor to CNAF at ONR Global and as a Project Manager at SSC Pacific, where involvement included leading naval capabilities integration for information warfare and supporting unmanned carrier aviation projects. With a background spanning over two decades, Derek has also contributed to significant operational planning and execution within the Patrol and Reconnaissance Force, and various roles in naval aviation and intelligence systems management. Academically, Derek holds a Master's degree in Architecture-based Enterprise Systems Engineering from UC San Diego, as well as additional graduate degrees in General Administration and undergraduate degrees in Biology and Economics.
