Drew Haven has worked in the software engineering industry since 2009. Drew began as an Undergraduate Researcher for the Personal Robots Group at the MIT Media Lab, where they programmed the Huggable, a semi-autonomous robot teddy bear, and became proficient in and extended a cognitive software architecture developed by the group using Java. Drew also implemented pointing behavior in the robot. In 2010, Haven was a Software Engineering Intern at Google. Drew then worked at Apple as an Intern in 2011, followed by a Software Engineer role at Dropbox from 2013 to 2021. Currently, Haven is a Software Engineer at Metronome.
Drew Haven received their Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2013, following their Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from MIT in 2012. Drew graduated from Homestead High School in 2008.
