Markus Leinonen

Markus Leinonen is a strategic Internal Audit leader with over 20 years of experience in governance. Currently serving as the Director of Internal Audit at Metsä Group, Markus leads internal audit projects with a focus on Metsä Board and ICT audits. Previously, they held various roles including Head of Internal Controls at Cargotec Corporation and Manager at KPMG Oy Ab, among others. Markus has also contributed to the ISACA Finland Chapter, serving as Immediate Past President after leading as Vice President and President. They hold a M.Sc. (Econ.) from Turku School of Economics and several professional certifications, including CIA and CISA.
