Evert Lessing is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in product development and management within the pumps and process equipment sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering for the Pumps Business Line at Metso Outotec since July 2020, and as Vice President of Engineering at Metso since May 2023, Evert is responsible for the innovation of pumps and hydrocyclones. Prior roles include leadership positions at Metso in Research and Technology, CQMS Razer as Plant Manager, and Weir Minerals Australia Ltd. as Director of Engineering & Product Development. Evert has a strong background in project execution and capital equipment sales, supported by degrees in Metallurgical Engineering and a Master of Engineering Management from the University of Pretoria.
