Kari Valkama

Kari Valkama is a Senior Metallurgist at Metso, bringing extensive experience in the mining and metals industry. With a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Lappeenranta University of Technology, Kari possesses broad knowledge of base and precious metals, particularly in hydrometallurgical processes. Previously, Kari worked at Outotec as a Specialist in Hydrometallurgy and as a Research Metallurgist, where significant contributions included process engineering and pilot plant supervision. Kari's early experience includes multiple summer trainee positions at Aalto University School of Science and Technology, focusing on industrial chemistry and catalytical deoxygenation.
