Marco Lopes

Marco Lopes has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Marco is currently working as the Director of IT Infrastructure Operations at MetTel since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at CorCystems, Inc as a Senior Engineer from October 2017 to December 2020, where they led teams in file data migrations and Office365 migrations. Marco also designed and implemented multi-tenant hybrid-cloud solutions. From June 2017 to September 2017, Marco served as a Consultant at CUNY School of Law, leading a project to migrate their email to Exchange 2016. In their role at HELIX SYSTEMS INC from March 2017 to May 2017, they worked as a Systems Engineer, managing project management tasks including migrating end-users to a private cloud terminal server environment. Prior to that, Marco worked at Netology, LLC as a Windows / VMware Administrator from September 2013 to September 2016, gaining expertise in VMware, Windows AD, Exchange, and SQL. Marco also worked as a System Engineer at CVM, Inc. from January 2011 to August 2013. Marco's earlier roles include Network Admin at Promedia Group, LLC from October 2007 to March 2010, Upgrade Support at SAC in 2007, Network Administrator at King Low Heywood Thomas from October 2001 to May 2005, and Network Administrator at Symtx from October 1999 to October 2001.

Marco Lopes holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business, obtained between 2007 and 2009. Marco also has a Master of Science degree in Physics from Binghamton University, earned from 1995 to 1997. Marco Lopes completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics at Queens College from 1988 to 1993. Additionally, they hold a certification as a VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization from VMware, obtained in 2019.
