André Covas

André Covas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in design and creative direction across various sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Design and Global Lead Designer at Metyis since February 2020, André oversees multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored strategies and innovative solutions for clients. As Design Director for the Semibreve Festival and Co-Founder & Art Director of PAD, an artist collective, André promotes aesthetic cohesion among professional artists. Previous roles include Lead Designer at united by, Tutor for a user experience and user interface design course at EDIT., and Mobile Senior Team Manager at ALERT Life Sciences Computing, where André was instrumental in the conceptualization and design of mobile healthcare solutions. André's diverse background also encompasses work as a musician with PEIXE : AVIAO, and experience in UI/UX design for notable projects, such as educational software for Casa da Música. André holds a degree in Design from the Universidade de Aveiro.
