Luís Morgado

Luís Morgado is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in bioinformatics, statistical analyses, and machine learning techniques. Currently serving as a Data Science Manager at Metyis since January 2021, Luís previously held roles including Associate Data Scientist at YGroup Companies and Data Scientist at the University of Oslo. While at the University of Oslo, Luís managed large-scale projects in Boreal forest microbial ecology and co-supervised MSc students. Additionally, during a Ph.D. tenure at Naturalis Biodiversity Center, project management focused on climate change effects on Arctic tundra microbial communities was emphasized, along with expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and communication. Luís holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Ecology from Leiden University, a Master's in Management and Conservation of Natural Resources from Instituto Superior de Agronomia, and a Licentiate degree in Biology from the University of Évora.
