Chris Small

Chris Small, known as Black Owl, is currently a member of the Board of Directors at MFA Financial, Inc. and actively involved in the Black Owl Family Office. With a rich background in investment banking, they held leadership roles at Wells Fargo in FIG Investment Banking and served in private equity at American Capital. Chris also has experience as a minor league baseball player with the Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians. They are an alumnus of Princeton University and continue to engage with their education at Punahou School.
