Ron Alquist

Ron Alquist is a Managing Director and Head of Research at MFA, where they currently lead research initiatives. With extensive experience in various economic roles, Ron served as Principal Economist for the Financial Stability Oversight Council at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in 2023. Additionally, they have held positions such as Senior Economist and Policy Advisor at the Financial Stability Oversight Council from 2021 to 2023, and Vice President at AQR Capital Management from 2017 to 2020. Ron earned their Doctor of Philosophy in International Economics from the University of Michigan, where they also worked as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student Instructor.
