Tommy Snell is a seasoned professional in education and sports, currently serving as a Semi Retired Rules Official for USGA, NCAA, and PGA since June 2021. With a long-standing career as a Language Arts Instructor at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College since August 2000, Tommy teaches various English courses and has contributed as a Rules Official for multiple prestigious organizations, including four US Women's Open events. Tommy is recognized for coaching the golf team at MGCCC to six consecutive NJCAA Region XXIII Championships from 2008 to 2013, and during tenure at St John High School, led the golf team to five straight MHSAA 2-A State Championships. Concurrently, Tommy writes a weekly opinion column, "In the Bag," for South Mississippi Living Magazine, focusing on golf. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in English Language and Literature from William Carey University and a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Southern Mississippi.
