Patrick Whelan M.D.

Patrick Whelan MD PhD is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Microbiology & Immunology at USC Keck School of Medicine since July 2011 and has held the position of Pediatric Rheumatologist at MGH since July 1998. Additionally, Patrick Whelan serves as a Lecturer in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School since the same year and was the Outgoing President of the Los Angeles Pediatric Society Inc from June 2018 to August 2019. Patrick Whelan is also the Founder and a Board Member of Catholic Democrats, contributing since September 2004. Prior to joining Lakeside Community Healthcare, Inc. as a Rheumatologist in 2013, Patrick Whelan was involved with the Performing Arts Workshop as a Parent starting in 2011. Educational qualifications include an A.B. in Biochemistry from Harvard University and an MD PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Baylor College of Medicine, complemented by early education at Loyola High School of Los Angeles.
