Buddy Hoffman

Buddy is a CPA with significant experience in financial reporting, planning and analysis, financial administrative and operating management. Prior to joining MGO, Buddy held leadership positions at Deloitte and Grant Thornton.

Buddy serves as engagement partner for numerous leading privately and publically held cannabis industry clients. He also serves on cannabis related panel discussions sponsored by the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and other organizations. He has extensive experience providing accounting, auditing, and other specialized services to cannabis entities in addition to companies in various other industries. He also serves as a member of MGO’s Professional Standards Group, and is a significant contributor to the firm’s continuing education programs focusing primarily on cannabis industry topics.

Buddy is based in the firm’s offices in Los Angeles, and has significant involvement in the opening, operations, and client service in the firm’s new office in Chicago, which is scheduled to open in December 2019.
